Covid Response Projects

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for the travel and tourism industry. Airlines have been forced to reconsider business and operational processes and adapt quickly to meet ever-changing government travel rules in different jurisdictions.
As travel restrictions ease and air travel tries to recover, our challenge will be keeping employees and the travelling public safe and to ‘build back better’, by providing a secure, hygienic and efficient end-to-end travel experience.
Customers will choose airlines that prioritise their well-being as well as destinations where they feel confident that they will be safe and able to complete their trip. Whether they are traveling for business or leisure, passengers will want to be reassured.
To date, almost all of the Covid response projects I have worked on have been reactionary. However, the COVID-19 crisis also offers an important opportunity as a catalyst for accelerated change. Customers still expect to be able to clear check-in, security and immigration processes quickly, whilst avoiding crowds and long queues.
Understanding changing needs and expectations – and being pro-active to them, will be important for business efficiencies and to restoring public confidence in air travel.
